Pink, Red, White: Heart Shaped Paper Quilling Card in a Brand New Looks

Hai, Dolls!
Today I am about to share my paper quilling card that inspired by Crafting Creatures works. This is one of many cards that I make when I was trying to learn paper quilling last year. I remember the moment when I spent my times all the day in front of my desk and looked nothing but Cecelia works on this blog. For your information, if I am not wrong Cecelia is the Crafting Creatures blog owner and seriously dolls, her works is incredibly amazing.

I couldn't take my eyes from the blog and when I found her works I was so inspired and I told my self that I should try this one. Besides the beautiful colors and creation, her paper quilling works is pretty challenging. It is not easy to keep the balance between both sides. Surely, for a beginner like me this works is way more complicated than making simple flower only. And for your information, at that moment I was having no idea about spectra paper so that I made it from manila paper (100-125gs) since that was the only shredded paper I had. How does it looks like then? So, this is it dolls!

I need to encourage my self to be brave on sharing this experience. Honestly, I feel so shy to share this works because I couldn't make it as pretty as Cecelia's. It took long time to finally made it in balance sides and matching colors. But the hard works was paid when I shown it to my man and he said that he likes it -well, yeah he always like whatever I make for him. I take it as compliment also the way he respect and supports me- even it was not precisely in perfect shaped size. After all, the works was worth and I could not stop smiling all day long.

Another Flower Wreath for My Little Cousin

Hai, Dolls!
Here I fulfill the promise I made in my first post to share my second and third flower wreath made by paper quilling. These flower wreath is way more colorful and attractive than the previous one. I used a thinner paper (spektra paper 80gs) in different colors. I mostly used the cyber color because it is way brighter and since these flower wreath is meant to be my little cousin's, so I made it colorful.

It was my little cousin who visit my house and found the first flower wreath. Then she asked me to make some for her and her younger sister for their bedroom in their new house. I was more than happy to make.

And for sure like the other post, the photo was captured by my man, Christa Adhi Dharma so that the quality is way better than the photo that I captured by my self. LOL!

Would be glad to show you more in my next post, dear!

Love,

My Cousin's Quilled Anniversary Card

Hai, Dolls!
Today, I spend my day by making my cousin's anniversary card. Yesterday she text me and ask if I might be able to make an anniversary card for her husband. Even this is not yet their annual anniversary, I am so happy to make a monthlyversary card for them.

I asked her what kind of anniversary card she wants, the color, material, kind of accessories, and another basic information. She did not require anything but let me create it free. The only requirement she wants was just the statements inside the card because she already personalized it for her loves one.

Since she lets me do whatever I want to this card, I make an ivory simple classic card. I use textured paper in ivory color, executive paper in gold color, rose and pink spectra color for quilling, and also small-sized pink and medium-sized white ribbon. Personal reason why I use the textured paper is just because I really adore paper that rich in textures. Before this I usually use any kind of textured paper to wrap any gift, but last month I try to make some experiment by making a birthday card for my man's mom with a diamond textured paper. I will share about it on my next post.

And talking back to my cousin's anniversary card, here we go dolls. This is it!

Seriously, the card is way better in real than in the photo. I am super sad and feel so much regret to my self that I can't really be able to take some nice shoots from digital pocket camera. Well, to be honest my photography skill is not so impressive. It always my man with his incredible photography taste and skill who help me shoot almost all the my paper quilling works. And yes, without his presence around me, I am definitely lost.

Well, I am done for today. I will give the card to my cousin this evening. She plans to surprise her husband with this card. I hope them both will love it!

Flowers in the Garden

Hai, Dolls!
Today I share you the "Flowers in the Garden" birthday card. I made it as our younger sister birthday card on September last year. The funniest part, she is only one day difference with my birthday. I have my birthday on 29th and her is 30th, it is so much fun to share birthday wishes almost in same day!

It was her 16 years old birthday. Here, people agree that a person could be classified as an adult when they enter their 17th birthday. 17 years old means a lot, well at least you can get your own legal ID card, driving license, and it also means that you don't need your family identity card or your parents permission if you want to process something like banking procedure for example. And oh yes, by being 17 you can watch any kind of television programs or movies that is subjected for adult. LOL! Sometimes, some people think that 17 is a special age and it supposed to be celebrated in special celebration, too. That is what people called as "sweet seventeen".

Since our younger sister is 16 years old, means that she will have her "sweet seventeen" next September. Honestly, I already thinking and trying to find what kind of gift would be suitable for her special birthday.

Well, jumping back to the birthday card. Last year, I was looking for some ideas for her birthday card. Since I learned paper quilling, I have been trying to make the birthday card or another greeting card by my self. I want to make sure that everybody I love would receive a special and "one and only" card for their special moments. And for your information, paper quilling birthday card is not always available here since the price is quite expensive.

While looking for some ideas for our younger sister birthday card, I -as usual- got inspired with Claire's paper quilling works "Flower in The Garden" and I try to duplicate it with any improvisation in some places. So, this is it!

I used spectra paper color (80gs) and messy paper. Too bad, I do not know exactly the detail information about messy paper, but it is way thicker than spectra. I guess it is about 100 - 150gs. Talking about paper characters, spectra paper is way thinner and have range of different colors. Then messy is way thicker and way more expensive than spectra. I love the messy, but unfortunately I only can find messy in big modern bookstore.

Well, I think I am done for today. I would love to share more paper quilling works with you, dear!

My Very First Flower Wreath

Hai, Dolls!
Here I share a flower wreath made by paper quilling technique. Fact, this is my very first flower wreath that I made since I learned paper quilling last year. Other fact is that I actually made it in June last year but since I recently have this paper quilling blog these days, so I just post it right now.

I was browsing and looking at many amazing paper quilling works from some blogs before I make it. I finally find Claire's blog and inspired with her paper quilling works. Most of my works are inspired from her and I just can't stop my self to look for her works. And oh by the way, her flower wreath for sure is waaaay better than mine, but I am not going to get down. I promise to my self that I will try my best level to improve my skill. And this is it, my very first flower wreath in paper quilling technique.

When I made it, I just had no idea about the kind of paper or any professional paper quilling tools. Therefore, I use -I guess it was a little wrong- thick papers (more than 100gs) in limited colors and since I do not have any quilling slot, I used to make it from long-size needle that I already cut the top part of it. I would show you the needle I meant soon in my next post.

By the way in some weeks after I made this flower wreath, I made another two flower wreath in -I guess- better quality and more colorful than this one. I used thinner paper (80gs) so I could roll the paper better than the first. I would share it soon! :)
